Sterling is the first Scandinavian low-cost airline with direct routes
between Scandinavia and Southern Europe as well as between the Scandinavian
countries.
Sterling flies to the following destinations In Scandinavia: Copenhagen, Billund,
Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg.
Flights to Dublin, Edinburgh and Gatwick.
Sterling Airlines offers passengers one of the largest choice of destinations
available in and out of Northern Europe as well as between the Scandinavian
countries and operates a large fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft. In 2007,
Sterling flew 4.2 million passengers.
Sterling is owned by Northern Travel Holding and the company’s head office is in
Copenhagen, Denmark with bases in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg,
Billund, Bergen, Malmoe and Aalborg.
Sterling operates a large fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft, with 15 B737-700,
7 B737-800 and 4 B737-500. With an average of 8,5 years, Sterling’s fleet is
younger than most fleets in the industry. By the end of 2009 all of Sterling’s
New Generation aircraft will be equipped with winglets, half by the end of 2008.
Sterling is a member of the ELFAA (European Low Fares Airline Association),
which helps ensure that European policy and legislation promote free competition
and the continued growth and development of low-fare airlines in the future –
thus allowing a greater number of people to travel by air.
